This Piano-led 4 piece are in the same league with Coldplay and KEANE. They will be widely accepted, regardless of age, sex and nationality. Even parents who tend to knit their brows may ease their frowned looks. With its approachable tunes, “Fractured Life” sounds so comfortable that the songs just melt into our daily lives. Air Traffic may not be so charismatic but are definitely good enough to catch many hearts of modern societies. Having said that, it is quite a waste, if you just play this album as back-ground music. This is not a popularised indie album but has depth and thoughts. The band exhibits real minds of boys and girls who always waver between haste and seriousness, ideal and real, and happiness and sadness.

“Just Abuse me” and “Charlotte” are perfect starters. Both are pop songs about love that you can find all around you. The band plays these songs with youngish energy of skinny lads. On the contrary, “Empty Space” shows that band’s more matured side. They are not narrow minded boys any more. They saw the whole world and condensed cries and sorrows over lives, which were lost in wars, terrorism, crimes, and disasters, into this song. This is really, really beautiful song, and that makes the song more sad and painful. The falsetto is frail but sounds strong in our mind. And next comes “Never Even Told Me Her Name”. Air Traffic, again, turn their gaze on the daily lives in which they are trying to figure out who they are and where they stand. Then, via confused “I Can’t Understand”, we finally arrive at “Your Fractured Life”. Clever title, good song. Our lives are neatly formed at a glance but, in fact, are fractured. They are not perfect. Still, we have to carry on. “Your Fractured Life” is just as good as to end this album.

Air Traffic’s song-writing is great without doubt. Their first album is worth to settle you down to listen, and I really look forward to seeing what’s coming next. And here, I just want to say......”Please don’t let me down...”
